First Look at HBO’S Fahrenheit 451 Series
at’s a bad joke but in all seriousness, the movie does look really good.
The series which is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel. Fahrenheit 451 set in a dystopian future where firemen burn books to keep them out of society.
The series stars Michael B Jordan who plays Guy Montag, a young fireman struggles with his role as an enforcer, and his mentor played by Michael Shannon.
Fahrenheit 451’s trailer makes the film look really well made and put together with some of the visual on the more HBO big-budget scale. It’ll be interesting to see if Fahrenheit 451 and Westworld will be able to fill the Game of Thrones gap in HBO’s programming.
The last time there was a live-action version of the book was in 1966 by Francois Truffaut. It’ll be interesting how the movie goes with the rise of dystopian TV with shows like The Handmaid’s Tale being so well received. It’s also interesting that it isn’t a series but in fact one movie.
We’ll see how Fahrenheit 451 goes when it premieres in May on HBO.
