Three Robots is the second episode in the Love, Death & Robots series. The short film is directed by Victor Maldonado & Alfredo Torres with animation produced by Blow Studio.
The Three Robots short centres around three different robots who have ventured into an apocalypse
The animation has a photo-realistic aesthetic which helps add textures to the world and
Three Robots is more in the funny category for these shorts. The humour between the robots as they try to figure out what humans were and did isn’t exactly original jokes but the animation makes it feel brand new. With the robots trying being on a sightseeing tour taking photos being absolutely ridiculous, it all adds up to being one of my favourite episodes so far. Well written and well animated has been the main highlight of Love, Death & Robots so far and Three Robots is a great example of that. It’s overarching story is quick to the finish but has an effective curious and weird ending.
