Let’s go on a Pokemon adventure!
This week on The Chairport’s Retro-Spective our hosts Kyle and Terry play through one of the best Pokemon games ever, Pokemon Snap!
Yes released on the Nintendo 64 all the way back in 1999 (that’s right the 20th century, how old!) Pokemon Snap is a first-person rail shooter simulation game that had you travelling around an island snapping photos of Pokemon…Pokemon Snap get it? Although I’m sure everyone would’ve taken a Pokemon version of the card game snap as well.
Anyway Pokemon Snap sold 1.5 million copies by the end of 1999 and you could even have pictures from your game printed off at Blockbuster store (my god the world has changed!).
The game currently sits on 77/100 on Metacritic and Game Freak Junichi Masuda has stated many times that he wouldn’t stop Nintendo from making a second Pokemon Snap game so what are you waiting for Nintendo?
You can check out the Retro-Spective podcast below or on any Podcast service/app and be sure to let us know your Pokemon Snap experience.
