Sunday/Monday was a busy day for trailers and spots. As some may have creept through the cracks I thought we would put together a little recap of what was released. Super Bowl Sunday, more like Trailer Bowl.
Scream VI
The Scream series continues with a sequel after the last film became a surprise hit. This time around it is going where no Scream film has gone before…The Big Apple. Out the 10th of March.
Fast X
Jason Momoa and Brie Larson join the Fast Franchise with Fast X, supposedly the beginning of the end…not if cars still exist it aint. Out 19th of May.
Creed III
In his directorial debut Michael B Jordan is back in Creed III but this time he goes face to face with a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy played by Jonathan Majors. Out 3rd of March.
Air: Courting a Legend
Telling the story of the Air Jordan brand at Nike, courting the legend stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in this biopic about one of the biggest shoe brands in the world. Out 5th of April.
65
If you asked me to name a film I think might bomb at the box office it is one of the next two. The first being the Adam Driver starring 65 or 65 Million Years Ago, although I’d pay to watch him fight dinosaurs. Out 10th of March, Ghostface v Dinosaur fighting Adam Driver.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
And here is the other potential bomb but we’ll see how much of a pull Chris Pine and Rege-Jean Page have to make the famous role playing game become massive on the big screen, didn’t work for World of Warcraft but they didn’t have a Bridgerton star. Out 31st of March.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Somehow it has come back, Transformers that is not Palpatine. Again as long as cars or vehicles exist so does the Fast Franchise, Transformers and Jason Statham. No Michael Bay this time and Bumblebee movie was actually decent so time will tell if Transformers can make a comeback. Out 9th of June.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
There is something about that title that screams success to be but hey I’m a big Indiana Jones fan. Indy is back and for the last time as Harrison Ford once again beats up Nazis and finds treasure. No Spielberg this time will be a big change for the franchise but one that might be needed. Out 30th of June.
Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Could it possibly be the next great trilogy? Guardians is also coming to an end with Vol. 3. It hasn’t exactly been this generation’s Star Wars but if it is a hit then I would place it up there with one of the best trilogies. The Guardians are back for one last emotional ride May 5th. Side note I was once on a tube sitting across from Will Poulter, cool.
The Flash
The Flash is actually coming out and Michael Keaton is returning as Batman and the whole DCEU is being reset/recreated and could it finally become the hit universe it wants to be? The Flash sure feels like a good start! The film is dashing onto screens June 14th.
Super Mario Bros.
Save the best till last, Illumination have clearly done all of the research in the world and brought everything to the table for the upcoming Mario movie including the theme song to the weird 80’s Mario cartoon. Super Mario Bros. is out 7th of April. Nice Easter egg here is that the voice of the lady in this clip is the voice of Peach from said 80’s show.
